The ACHIEVE project partners are proud to participate in the 40th International Combustion Symposium, the world’s premier event for combustion science and technology. Hosted by the Combustion Institute, this biennial symposium takes place at the Allianz MiCo Congress Center in Milan, Italy, from Sunday, July 21st to Friday, July 26th, 2024. This year’s theme, “Emphasizing Energy Transition,” highlights the evolving role of combustion technologies in a more sustainable energy future.
The symposium provides a crucial platform for the exchange of ideas and advancements in combustion research. This is particularly significant for the ACHIEVE project, which focuses on exploring new combustion methods, such as hydrogen and ammonia blends. These innovative approaches are critical for reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy efficiency, aligning perfectly with the symposium’s emphasis on energy transition.
The ACHIEVE project’s presence at the symposium underscores its commitment to advancing combustion science. Participating partners include leading institutions and organizations such as Sapienza University of Rome, KAUST, Phoenix, the University of Florence, TU Delft, and EM2C at the University of Paris-Saclay.
Looking ahead, ACHIEVE members are expected to make substantial contributions at the next International Combustion Symposium in two years. The ongoing research and collaboration among these partners aim to produce impactful findings and innovations, particularly in the combustion of hydrogen and ammonia blends.
