ACHIEVE at the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking 2025 Call Info Day

On January 22, 2025, the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (CHJU) held its Info Day in Brussels, focusing on the upcoming 2025 funding call. Javier Ordoñez, from ZABALA Innovation, represented the ACHIEVE Project at this event, which highlighted significant advancements and future directions for clean hydrogen technologies in Europe.

Keynote Highlights

The introductory session featured insights from leading figures in the clean hydrogen sector:

  • Valérie Bouillon-Delporte, Executive Director of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, emphasized the need for impactful, scalable projects to advance clean hydrogen technologies.
  • Rosalinde Van Der Vlies, Director at the European Commission, marked the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement and the EU’s unwavering commitment to the Green Deal. She introduced the Competitiveness Compass and the Clean Industrial Plan, both integral to enhancing industrial resilience and sustainability.
  • Danica Malković, Chair of the Clean Hydrogen JU Governing Board, outlined key challenges such as improving efficiency, infrastructure development, and regulatory hurdles. She underscored the aim to establish hydrogen production hubs and valleys, targeting 10 million tonnes of hydrogen production in the near future.
  • Luigi Crema, President of Hydrogen Europe Research, highlighted the importance of local Hydrogen Valleys and collaborative efforts between research and industry to build a European clean hydrogen value chain.
